This department deals with the recording, preservation and dissemination of Cretan dances. In particular, in 1981 the Yitsikos dance (Rumatiani Sousta) was recorded. As part of the dissemination of local dances, members of the Lyceum train adults and children in Cretan traditional dances such as Chaniotikos Syrtos, Sousta, Maleviziotis, Pentozali.
